Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International
Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International

The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International is an organization that was established in 1993, by Bishop Paul S. Morton of New Orleans, Louisiana. Bishop Morton was convinced of the fact that there were many charismatic Baptists in the Body of Christ that wanted to operate in the fullness of the Spirit of God, and remain Baptist. He was led to form the organization to provide fellowship, covering and a new level of ecclesiastical excellence, empowerment and order for these churches. To date the Fellowship has been blessed with churches on every continent in the world and annually hosts one of the largest denominational conferences in the world. Additionally, the Fellowship has blazed trails in ministry with the ownership of its own record label, partial ownership of a U.S. based bank, the launch of the “Gospel Dreams” competition (a Christian version of American Idol) and other joint corporate ventures and social initiatives; that have distinguished it as a major player in the work of the Kingdom of God.

In the spring of 2001, Union joined the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International and our disciples have continued to increase.  We participate in events and conferences held internationally, statewide and within our local districts.

Each area is catogorized in regions.  Our region is the Southern Atlantic Region where Bishop W. Oshea Granger is Regional Bishop.  Our North Carolina State Bishop is Pastor Aubrey G. Mullen Jr.  of Abundant Lfe Baptist Cathedral International of Jacksonville, NC.  Our Southeast District Overseer is Pastor John Pierce of St. John Missionary Baptist Church of New Bern, NC.

On October 3, 2004, our pastor,  James H. Nixon was appointed as the 1st Assistant to Bishop M. C. Akins, who is the Bishop of Recruitment for the FGBCFI under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton.  Pastor Nixon also holds positions as FGBCFI of North Carolina State Director of Recruitment and Southeast District Director of Fellowship Relations.

Union is blessed to a part of a Fellowship that continues to answer the call to "Change A Generation"  through its commitment to submission and empowerment by the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit of the Living God guides the Full Gospel Baptist leadership and member churches in making a difference throughtout the world.
