UNION THEOLOGICAL INSTITUTE

In the fulfillment of its purpose of enriching and training Christian workers for service, the Institute seeks to achieve the following specific objectives:

To provide an institution of Christian education to serve primarily the local churches that are associated with the institution. Other students who are sympathetic and in harmony with the objectives of CLEN may be served as conditions permit.

To provide a Christ-centered and Bible-oriented curriculum that recognizes the Bible as the authoritative rule of faith and conduct, and which is designed to enrich the learning experiences of the student.

To provide a very practical professional orientation designed to assist the student in acquiring the characteristics and skills that will prepare him or her for places of leadership in the church.

To provide academic challenges that encourage the student to develop the skills of research and discriminating thinking into a lifelong process.

To provide a spiritual environment in which the student will have an opportunity to develop the entire person as a man or woman of God; to increase his or her appreciation for a biblical sense of values; to nurture an appreciation for the importance of worshipping God “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23).
