VISION OF UNION

We believe that God has given us a vision to become compassionate and loving Christians who are empowered by Christ to reach beyond the walls of the church building to meet the holistic needs of our community.  We therefore are committed to the following:

U - Understand all things by seeking the Lord first   (Proverbs 28:5) 

N - Neglect not our gifts, but use them to the glory of God   (1 Timothy 4:14)

I - Incline our hearts unto God   (Joshua 24:23)

O - Obey the voice of the Lord   (Genesis 27:8)

N - Nourished in the words of faith   (1 Timothy 4:6) 

MISSION OF UNION

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Amen    MATTHEW 28:20

PURPOSE OF UNION

The purpose of Union Missionary Baptist Church is to provide a spiritual, mental and educational   basis that promotes our motto and theme:  "The Church That Love Built".

With the help of the Holy Spirit and our Visionary
Pastor James H. Nixon, through love we hope to:

* Enhance the spiritual well being of all Christians allowing them to take responsibility for their own actions.
* Acknowledge our purpose and commitment to Christ, the
Church, Family and Community.
* Provide a forum for all persons of integrity to communicate and
exchange ideas from various perspectives.
* Form a sense of community that will solidify our goal of
consolidation and agreement that involves an agreement
that involves the entire community.
* Begin a movement that operates from a position of
spirituality, responsibility, commitment and Great Power.
